  991. Note: On September 22nd 1995, Judge Neesham of Melbourne's County Court allowed the playing and transcribing of several telephone conversations onto an official court transcript. The conversations were between Raymond Hoser and various officials - all taped without the knowledge of the officials concerned. The recordings were used to prove subsequent perjury by the same officials. Neesham ruled that the tapes were legally obtained and therefore admissible evidence. The recordings had been gained using a suction cap style device that sells for about $5 at most electronics shops. Neesham also admitted into evidence a tape and transcript of court proceedings which were made on 29/11/90 after a magistrate had formally banned such taping.
